In 2025, an exciting dynamic begins between the Department and the province of Siem Reap, At Cambodia. This partnership not only extends an already fruitful cooperation which has lasted for almost fifteen years, but also promises new ambitious initiatives, in particular thanks to solid funding of 1.5 million euros granted by theFrench Development Agency. A crucial investment for agriculture
Since 2008, the Department has spent approximately 24 million euros to agricultural development projects in countries such asArmenia, THE Benign, THE Cambodia And Haiti. This significant sum demonstrates the importance given to fight against food insecurity, which remains one of the major challenges for many populations. With this in mind, the collaboration with Siem Reap is strengthening with a diversified program adapted to local needs.
An ambitious food strategy
The 2025 initiative unveils strategic projects intended to establish a territorial food strategy robust. With emphasis on production local agricultural, family and sustainable, the objective is to guarantee healthy food for all the inhabitants of the province. A documentary about successes and challenges
To celebrate this collaboration, a documentary was carried out with the support of Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. This film retraces nearly fifteen years of efforts, partnership and challenges shared between the Department, Siem Reap and the NGO such as Gret And Agrisud International. Through this documentary, achievements are highlighted, while acknowledging the obstacles encountered. This reminds us of the importance of international solidarity and cooperation to eradicate food insecurity.
